The Huntington on my Wall?

Visiting the Huntington is always great, but this was the first time I've ever gone with a specific goal - landscape oriented pictures to hang on my wall. Let's see some of the options...

So many pretty views... Now I just need to figure out which ones I'd like to crop a little bit and hang on the wall.

These are all from my phone camera, btw. I've never gotten a fancy camera. I'm sure my pictures would be better if I did! Now I'm nervous about going to the Fling... 🙃

  1. They're all fabulous, how will you ever decide?

And don't be nervous, you're gonna have so much fun!

    1. I'm sure it will be fun - I'm very much looking forward to it, and meeting everyone! Hopefully I'll get even more good photo options out of it!

  2. It'll be great to meet you in person, Renee! I didn't realize you were coming to the Fling. (I obviously haven't been reading the Fling website material.) Last year was my 1st Fling - I'm still nervous about the flight but not about the Fling itself. You'll have a great time.

As to your photos, they're all wonderful. I recommend sitting on your decisions awhile to see what continues to grab you.

  3. They're all great photos, but I think the first two are stunning. I'm not going to this year's Fling, but you'll have a great time. I've actually started taking a lot of photos on my blog using just my iPhone camera.

    1. Thank you! I'm glad I'm not the only one who uses my phone camera!

  4. I like the 3rd and 4th from the bottom the most, if I had to pick 1 or 2. But as a proud fence-sitter, I might also find 3-4 that make great square crops (let plant labels and glare determine crops), then mount in matching square frames in 1 group.

    1. As a part of this, I learned most of my pictures look better as square crops... Apparently the influence of Instagram is strong in my picture composing! Your idea of a matching set of squares is a good one!
